• How does Speak 10-10-940 work?
  When you dial 10-10-940 before your long distance call, the call is sent by your phone company to Speak Telecom to be processed. Speak Telecom uses the best route to process the call and connects it to the number you dialled. Speak Telecom then processes the call at its low long distance rates and sends all the data to your phone company for billing. The call later appears on your local phone bill for easy payment.

• Do I get billed if it's just a short call?
  You do not get charged for calls under 10 seconds in length.

• How come the calls appear as Speak Telecom Inc. on my local phone bill?
  Speak 10-10-940 is a service of Speak Telecom Inc. When you place a call using 10-10-940, the call then appears on your local phone bill under "Speak Telecom Inc." at Speak Telecom's super low long distance rates.

• Are there any minimums?
  Calls to Canada and the United States have a two-minute minimum and are billed in 30-second increments after that. International calls are billed in 30-second increments after just the first minute.

• Why is it so expensive to place international long distance calls to cell phones?
  In many countries, the toll to a cellular phone is much higher than the toll to a land line in the same area. This is because of charges applied by the cellular company who provides service to the number you wish to reach. In such cases, you could save significantly by arranging to have your call received on a landline. Please consult our Rate Calculator for more information on our long distance rates.
