Speak10-10-940 Changes Rate Structure for Canada & the USA

Oakville, Ontario – August 18, 2005 – Speak Telecom Inc. announced today that it is making changes to its Speak10-10-940 rate structure for calls to Canada and the United States.

Effective September 1, 2005 all calls to Canada and the United States will be subject to a two-minute minimum call length and thirty second increments thereafter. This new structure will not be applicable to international calls which will continue to be billed in thirty second increments after the first minute.

“We examined a variety of options and rather than raise our rates, which would have increased the cost of every call that our customers make, we decided to implement a minimum call length on calls to Canada and the United States,” said Mike Cunningham of Speak Telecom Inc. “The result of this change, combined with no charge for calls under ten seconds, means that the cost of a call will not change for most users calling Canada and United States.”
